Kingdom Come? - More Like Kingdom Here! (The Great Leak!)

So, the CEO of HipHop's highly anticipated come back album, Kingdom Come, isn't officially released until Nov. 14th with an annoucment of a single a little before then. In an ideal world Im sure that would've happened.

However, this ain't an ideal world and for the past few days both the internet and radio stations all over the states have been going crazy over the internet leak of the new single from the new album. Entitled 'Show Me What You Got' and produced by Just Blaze, the song is definitely a good look.

Go to www.hiphopgame.com and click on the audio section for a listen.

Apparently, Def Jam and Roca Fella staff are dumbfounded as to how the track got leaked, so much so that there's even talk of an FBI investigation! Cor Blimey, it only a song!

Yem-Matic! (Hip-Hop Is Alive!)

I recently crossed paths with one of hip-hop's most gifted wordsmiths, Nasir Jones. In town as a surprise guest on Jay's international tour, our conversation was littered with plently of good old random chit chat.

From if Rush Hour 3 will be see the light of day this side of the century, to the uncomfortability of grills and last but not least, the key to a good marriage, it was definitely a good day for randomness. More next time folks!

The new Nas album - 'Hip Hop Is Dead' - is slated for a December release on Def Jam/Sony Columbia. Production is expected from Saalam Remi, Dr Dre, Kanye West Scott Storch, Will.i.am and Premo.

Jay-Z, Royal Albert Hall, September 27th 2006

So after pursuing every possible avenue to get my Jay -Z ‘at the *garden aka the Royal Albert Hall ticket’, I made it to the historic gig, even if it was last minute dot com stylee, leaving me £55 quid out of pocket. A small price to pay, I’ll have you know it, as I’m fairly sure that we won’t be witnessing the events of September 27th again anytime soon.

In a nutshell, Jay smashed it, effortlessly performing back-to-back hits from Reasonable Doubt to the Black Album. Nasty Nas made an appearance which sent the R.A.H faithful into a frenzy, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin popped up, and not only played piano on 'Dead Presidents' as Jay and Nas traded verses over the historic hustlers anthem, but he also offered the CEO of hip hop a hand on Ain’t No Love (Heart of The City), throw Gwyneth Paltrow in there, singing, yes singing on Song Cry and Beyonce getting her Crazy In Love and Déjà vu on and you’ve got a pretty good gig.

I know that Carlsberg don’t do concerts, but if they did I’m not sure even they could have out done this one!

* Apologies, I’ve seen Fade To Black one too many times!
