So, I was recently window shopping in SW1, as you do, and who do I bump into, none other than my bonified breadrin R.B - Sir Richard Branson to the simple folk amongst you.

From Wiley's 2nd Phaze album to JME's hilarious blogs on his myspace page, our convo was littered with news, views and reviews from the underground hub that is grime.

Apparently, 'those' free virgin flights for 200 of my closest friends were put in the post...

Must've got lost....

My So Called Musical Faux Pas

Ok, by now I guess you're probably aware that I'm a soul man, with a dash of rhymth, who only ever often sings the blues but appreciates grime, always hip sometimes hop, a sucker for UKG, always hopeful of an alternative, with more funk than a Brown James.

So keeping that in mind, should I be ashamed to admit the following?

1. The kid Will Young can sing - standard!

2. James Blunt's Back to Bedlam album is large (You're beautiful is serious - it reminds me of VJB too)

3. I own a copy of Matisyahu's Youth album and I don't think
its rubbish at all.

4. Vanilla Ice was the shizzle back in the day. To sell 11 million albums with a name that is an ice cream flavour, well, you've got to have done something right - right?

Don't Call It A Come Back, I've Been Here For, Well, 3 Months!

My lack of blogging action is due to a few things, I've been uninspired of late, routine kills creativity and nothing that interesting has been poppin' off. The fact that I'm posting a blog entry doesn't necessarily mean any of the above has changed, it just means (Yemi trails off.....) It just means I'm back init!

If you don't know already, my blog is called 'Yemi's Wonderful World of Random stuff' - the key word here being 'random', but something struck me while walking aimlessly through a south London council estate last week - there's not that much random content on my blog. So ( Yemi rubs his hands together and rolls up his sleeves in excitement) lets get into it.

1. I like reading peoples out of offices.

2. The next time I go to MacDonald's I'm going to ask for my Big Mac meal to look exactly as it looks on the menu picture.

3. I want to sell my car. It only 4 years old and only on about 30'000 miles, but I think I've out grown it.

4. FACT - its actually impossible for me to go into an HMV without buying a DVD.

5. US rap music is really in a bad way. Its almost customary now for an artist to sell a respectable few thousand units in the first week, only then to nose dive from charts two weeks later.

6. Some days I wish my life was just like Vincent Chase's life from 'Entourage' (not that I'm ungrateful of my own life God, but I just like to dream sometimes)

7. What does Shakira mean by her hips don't lie?

8. Spicy BBQ chicken wings to me, are what alcohol is to an alcoholic.

9. I don't know why folks are so angry about the BBC's recent 'Shoot The Messenger' programme.

10. I will never get a myspace page.
